I’m always looking for marketing messages imbedded in everyday places and last weekend I found a treasure trove. First, on the flight to Dallas, Delta literally placed one in my lap. When I received my Diet Coke, the napkin under the cup almost made me laugh out loud.
Then as my wife checked us into a Holiday Inn Express, I wandered through the ‘Breakfast Area”, lo and behold, some hard working marketing person had outdone themselves. So kudos to you anonymous copywriter, lonely art director, overworked digital specialist. Your dedication to your craft has accomplished its intended purpose. A tired and weary traveler took notice. It brightened his day and made him feel a little more connected to the brands he’s buying. And just possibly, made him like them just a little bit more.
